Account Data: Name and email address provided during registration.

Inventory Data: Data you upload regarding parts, inventory levels, including descriptions, quantities, and scanned code data.

Usage Data: Technical information such as IP addresses, browser types, and device identifiers.

Photos: At your discretion, photos are taken using the app's camera feature and uploaded to your inventory database.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information strictly to provide, maintain, and improve the ShelfExact service, and to communicate with you regarding account updates or support requests.

3. Data Storage and Third Parties

3.1 United States Storage: All your data is stored on servers located within the United States using third-party Cloud Providers. (e.g. AWS, Supabase, and/or Google Cloud)

3.2 Payment Processing: All financial transactions are handled by Stripe.com. We do not store or see your credit card information.

3.3 No Sale of Data: We do not share, sell, or trade your personal information or inventory data with 3rd party advertisers or data brokers.

3.4 Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required to do so by law.

4. Cookies and Tracking

We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and to remember your preferences. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but some features may become unavailable.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal and inventory data, including uploaded photos, for as long as your account is active. Photos are retained until such a time when you delete the photos from the system. Upon termination of your account, we will delete all data, including remaining photos, within a reasonable timeframe, subject to legal obligations.

6. Security

We employ industry-standard encryption (SSL/TLS) to protect data in transit. However, you acknowledge that no internet-based service is entirely "hack-proof".
